Stevens’ Pollster: Begich Will Win Alaska (Is God Sending Palin A Message, Again?)

The Huffington Post has an interview with Sen. Ted Stevens’ (R-AK) pollster who believes the Alaska Senate seat will be number 58 for the Democrats (with Minnesota and Georgia still outstanding):

Alaska-based GOP pollster David Dittman, who worked for Sen. Ted Stevens during this year’s primary race, believes Democratic challenger Mark Begich is all but certain to expand his current razor-thin lead and snatch the seat. “I don’t think Stevens can come back,” Dittman said, noting that he thinks the remaining trove of uncounted ballots will help Begich “increase his lead.”

What’s so incredibly amazing about this development is that just yesterday whack-job Sarah Palin (R) expressed interest in the seat if Stevens got expelled after, presumably, getting re-elected:

“[I]f they call an audible on me, and if they say they want me in another position, I’m going to do it. … My life is in God’s hands. If he’s got doors open for me, that I believe are in our state’s best interest, the nation’s best interest, I’m going to go through those doors.”

Funny thing is that as soon as she uttered these words yesterday, Mark Begich (D) took the lead in the vote tally and now seems poised to win the election.

Was God sending Palin a message…again?

I say ‘again’ because of Palin’s pre-election words to crazy man James Dobson:

Patriots game

“To me, it motivates us, makes us work that much harder,” Palin said. “And it also strengthens my faith, because I’m going to know, at the end of the day, putting this in God’s hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4. So I’m not discouraged at all.”

Sure does seem as though God isn’t interested in cutting Palin any breaks these days, does it?
