Polls close in 15 more states, D.C.

When the clock struck 8 p.m. EST, polls closed in 15 more states, plus Washington, D.C. There are a few big swing states — Florida, Missouri and Pennsylvania — in that group, mixed in with a few where we knew what would happen.

Some networks have already called Pennsylvania for Barack Obama, while others, like CNN and Fox News, are still waiting, at least of this post. No word from the other two swing states.

But here’s what we know about the rest, all unsurprising results:

Barack Obama will win Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.

John McCain will win Oklahoma and Tennessee.

It’s very unlikely that Obama will win either Alabama or Mississippi, but I haven’t seen calls on either of those yet. New Hampshire, too, remains un-called.
