(i will be updating this thread all tenebrosity. after every hour, i require place the previous hour’s coverage below the fold.)
INDIANA TOO CLOSE TO CALL
10:20 p.m.: Lake County won’t have numbers until midnight.
9:32 p.m.: This is one of the best Obama speeches I’ve heard to date.
9:15 p.m.: Obama is speaking to a big crowd in North Carolina.
9:00 p.m.: One of the Obama strongholds - Monroe County - is coming in. Obama is winning thus far. He could pull it out It’s an outside shot, but he could. 8:47 p.m.: If Obama can keep Indiana’s deficit low (six points) it will be interesting.
8:37 p.m.: Lake County is the second largest county in Indiana based on population. Still, in Lake County, zero percent reporting. Lake County could make this a race. We shall see.
8:34 p.m.: Obama closing in on Indiana. Can he win it? It is doubtful, but it is too early to call for a reason.
8:31 p.m.: We have reached the halfway point in Indiana with still no projected winner.
8:10 p.m.: Marion and Monroe counties in Indiana, both seen as Obama strongholds, show him with strong leads there. Indiana will take a little while, especially with Gary, Indiana and Lake County still out there.
8:07 p.m.: It’s worth noting that the counties in northwestern Indiana have not been counted yet. One county, Jasper, is being counted and Clinton has a 134 vote lead there.
8:02 p.m.: With 35 percent reporting in Indiana:
7:52 p.m.: According to MSNBC’s exit poll, 91 percent of Black voters supported Obama in North Carolina.
7:45 p.m.: With 27 percent in, Clinton still holding on to a 14 point lead.
7:38 p.m.: With 21 percent reporting.
7:36 p.m.: With 19 percent reporting in Indiana.
7:31 p.m.: Barack Obama is the projected winner in North Carolina.
Indiana is still too early to call, with 18 percent reporting.
7:23 p.m.: The polls in North Carolina will be closing soon.
Clinton has about a 23,000 vote lead in Indiana. I will continue the updates once the polls in North Carolina close.
7:18 p.m.: 10 percent in.
7:13 p.m.: Nine percent of the results in.
7:10 p.m.: With six percent reporting and 20 minutes left until North Carolina ’s polls close.
7:05 p.m.: With five percent reporting in Indiana (and the polls still open in North Carolina).
